This module isPCB now, please keep it in mind. The DRV8825 Stepper Motor Controller Carrier is a break board for TI's DRV8825 bipolar stepper motor controller. The module has a pinout and interface that are almost identical to those on our A4988 stepper motor controller board, so it can be used as a high-performance replacement for those boards in many applications.The DRV8825 features adjustable current limitation, overcurrent and overheating protection, and six microstep resolutions (up to 1/32 steps). The DRV8824 can only deliver up to 0.75 A per coil without a heat sink (1.2 to maximum with adequate cooling). But it has larger current sensing resistors that allow for better microstep performance than the DRV8825 carrier at low currents. The only way to tell our carrier DRV8824 apart from the DRV8825 carrier is by the markings on the driver's IC; If you have a mixture of the two, you may consider marking them (there is a blank square on the bottom silk screen that you can use for this). For low-voltage applications, consider our pin-compatible DRV8834 carrier, which works with motor supply voltages as low as 2.5V.This product ships with all surface mount components, including the DRV8825 IC controller, installed as shown in the product image.
