TDA1541 OP/S8 MA Classic Audio Decoder

The complete kit does not include a power supply and a transformer.

The resistors in the kit are all braided PHILIPS 1/4W 1% high-precision metal film resistors.

 

The official version of TDA1541 OP/S8 MA is an upgraded version of TDA1541 OP/S6. It introduces the power supply + D/A split design, and continues the hearing of the OP/S6 version. It draws on the analog output of PHILIPS Philips LHH1000 split decoding. The density and thickness of the upper mid-frequency have been significantly improved, and the extension of high and low frequencies, analysis, etc. are all improved, and the sound is condensed and durable.

TDA1541 is a generation of classic analog taste DA chip. The feature of TDA1541 is that the human voice is very durable, and the sound is unassuming but meticulous. Everything is just right. OP/S8 MA is a music decoder suitable for long-term listening!

Design architecture:

CS8412+SAA7220+TDA1541+OP LPF (reference LHH1000)

Input: coaxial, optical fiber, AES/EBU digital balanced input, I2S access (256FS)

Output: a set of RCA, a set of XLR (balanced output)

A

1. Because the D/A board is designed with no power supply, you can make the power supply first when you get it, and you can connect to the D/A after completing the power-on test and measuring the voltage of each group.  

2. There are two DIP switches on the board. The one near the 2P socket is for switching the digital balanced input (on: ON=AES/EBU), and the one near the 5P socket is for switching the I2S input (on: ON=I2S). IN). After the production is completed, the two switches do not need to be turned on, and the default is coaxial or optical input.  

3. When the power board is connected to the D/A board, the soldered socket should not be reversed. After the production is completed, it needs to be checked. If the power cord is not connected, it will cause the risk of IC burning!!!!!

 

4. Transformer selection, designed to use TALEMA 25W transformers, but single cattle can also be used. The working voltage is: dual 15-18V 1 group, dual 9-12V 1 group.

 

5. The heat sink can be installed without insulation, because the PCB is already designed to avoid. Will not cause a short circuit. Can add thermal grease

 

6. The polarity of the electrolytic capacitor should not be mistaken. Small-capacity capacitors cannot be installed incorrectly, especially the 47N (0.047UF) capacitor on the CS8412 PLL pin.  

 

B: Debug

Inspection: After the welding of the whole machine is completed, carefully check the installation drawing. Check to ensure that there are no faulty components, short circuits, and false soldering. After checking that there is no problem, debug the power board first, connect the corresponding voltage (connect the transformer), and measure whether the DC output is consistent with the PCB standard.

Digital part:

3 groups +5V, 1 group -5V, 1 group -15

Analog part: (discrete regulated power supply)

1 group +15V, 1 group -15V  

Voltage measurement: After the single power board is energized and the test voltage is normal, connect the D/A board with a wire, and plug in all the ICs without busy. At this time, go back and test whether the output voltage of the power board is correct (voltage test point on the power board, next to the output socket) ), test that all voltages should not change. If there is any change, there must be a short circuit. After removing it, you can plug in the IC (CS8412, TDA1541, etc.). After plugging in the IC, measure the voltage at each point and there should be little change.   (Note: After power on, SAA7220 and TDA1541 will heat up. This is normal, and it is not normal if it is not hot)  

Output test: After power-on, after the circuit is stable, the digital signal is connected (not playing). At this time, the digital signal LED lights up, and at this time, use a multimeter to measure. The black pen is grounded (AGND), and the red pen is connected to the output LPF OP (NE5532) output pin (the 7th pin of the 5532, before the coupling capacitor). Normally, there is about 3V DC. Ensure that the above points are tested normally. Generally, you can listen to it normally.  

 

C: Option

TDA1541 has 14 decoupling capacitor options, you can choose between 104-224, ERO 104 (0.1UF) is recommended,

The transformer occupies a very important part in the production. It is recommended to have good quality E or ring. This machine is designed to use a TALEMA 25W transformer, but it can also be used with a single cow. The working voltage is: dual 15-18V 1 group, dual 9-12V 1 Group.

Transformer recommendation:

  The transformer occupies a very important part in the production, and it is recommended to have good quality E cattle or ring cattle. The working voltage is: dual 15-18V 1 group, dual 9-12V 1 group. The current needs to be greater than 0.5A.

It is recommended to use the original imported TALEMA 25W transformer for the integrated power board.
