The DS1307 is a low-cost, high-precision I2C real-time clock (RTC) that includes battery inputs that remain accurate when the mains supply is disconnected. The Ds1307 has long-term accuracy and reduces the number of components in the production line. The DS1307 offers a commercial and industrial temperature range in an 8-pin 64mil SO package with low power consumption and a static current consumption of less than 500nA in battery-powered standby.

RTC saves seconds, minutes, hours, weeks, dates, months and years. Less than 31 days in the month, will automatically adjust the date of the end, including the leap year correction. The working format of the clock can be 24 hours or 12-hour format with / AM / PM indication. Provides two settable calendar alarms and a settable square wave output. The address and data are transmitted serially via I2C bi-directional bus.

Precise, temperature-compensated voltage reference and comparator circuits are used to monitor the VCC status, detect power failures, provide reset outputs, and automatically switch to backup power if necessary.
