The Optolong SHO - 3nm filter kit includes SII 3nm, H - Alpha 3nm, and OIII 3nm narrow band filters, optimised for use with modern astronomical monochrome cooled CCD/CMOS cameras and modified DSLR cameras.2. By imaging in each single channel mapped to the three RGB channels (SII, HA, OIII), astrophotographers can process Hubble palette images using popular astronomical post processing software.3. The 3nm bandpass produces the highest contrast and reveals subtle details in nebulae that can be missed with broader band pass filters.4. The Extra Narrowband SII 3nm filter is designed for imaging with 3nm bandwidth of light centred on a wavelength of 672nm and reduces the transmission of unwanted wavelengths of light, specifically those produced by artificial light including Mercury Vapour, and both High and Low pressure Sodium Vapour street lighting and the unwanted natural light caused by neutral Oxygen emission in our atmosphere (i.e. skyglow)5. The Extra Narrowband H - Alpha 3nm filter is a very popular narrowband filter with 3nm bandwidth of light centred on a wavelength of 656nm reducing the transmission of unwanted wavelengths of light, specifically those produced by artificial light including Mercury Vapour, and both High and Low pressure Sodium Vapour Street Lighting and the unwanted natural light caused by neutral Oxygen emission in our atmosphere (i.e. skyglow)6. Extra narrowband OIII - CCD 3nm filter is designed for imaging with 3nm bandwidth of light centred on a wavelength of 500nm which corresponds to the OIII emission line, and reduces the transmission of unwanted wavelengths of light, specifically those produced by artificial light including Mercury Vapour, and both High and Low pressure Sodium Vapour street lighting and the unwanted natural light caused by neutral Oxygen emission in our atmosphere (i.e. skyglow). 7. OIII emits at 495.9nm and 500.7nm and it is a blue - green coloured filter. Many images of planetary nebula and supernova remnants are taken with H - Alpha and OIIII filters only (Bi Colour).
